snugs-and-me-bioFor 30 years I have enjoyed practicing the art of oil painting and fortunately I attended some very good art schools. I graduated with honors from Pratt Institute and also studied at the School of Visual Arts and the Art Students League. All of which are in NY. My love of both art and animals came together in a business I started 15 years ago selling prints of dogs.  These paintings and prints have won a number of national and international awards and some have shown in the American Museum of Illustration. As you can see from this blog I have a realistic style and enjoy painting a variety of subject matter. One defining aspect of my work is a sense of empathy that really becomes evident in my portrait work. Please visit my website at to see some examples of this.  If you look to the right you can find a link to my site under “blogroll”.

Along with these daily paintings,  I’m working on a very fun new “body” of work that celebrates figurative painting in a new and unique way. I’ll let you know more about that as show time approaches.

Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope you come back and see what’s new from time to time.

  2. Truly inspiring!

Your work calls attention to details and sparks an apprciation for the ‘little things’ in life that make each day special.
